The Tower at Midtown

Midtown Tower, LLC, a partnership of Buckingham Properties and Morgan Management are spearheading a $59 million project to redevelop Midtown Tower into a mixed-use complex which will bring more than 400,000 square feet of high-end commercial and residential real estate into the heart of Downtown, including apartments, and space for other commercial, retail and restaurant use. 15% of the apartments will be designated affordable, with half of those available to residents earning up to 120%, and half earning up to 140% of median area income.

Former Midtown Mall Video

The video on the left was shot in November of 2007, the last Christmas at Midtown Mall in Rochester, New York. First opened in 1962, it was the first indoor mall of its kind in the country designed to save retail in the city. Many would come here during the holidays to ride the monorail and tell Santa what they wanted for Christmas. The three big retail stores that anchored this mall, Sibley's, McCurdy's and B.Formans are long gone.
